AppalCART is Watauga County's Public Transportation Authority since 1981 in which we are committed to keeping the High Country moving. Our services began as Appalachian Campus Area Rapid Transit, and thus, it became AppalCART.
With AppalCART routes, keep the following in mind: Red Route, Purple Route, Pop 105 Route, & Wellness District run every 15 minutes. Green Route & Blue Route run every 20 minutes. Gray Route, Orange Route, Gold Route, NC 105 Lot Shuttle, State Farm Parking Lot Shuttle & Silver Route run every 30 minutes.
AppalCART Routes. Our fixed bus routes provide access to numerous location within Boone. The routes service Appalachian State University campus, numerous apartment complexes within Boone, Downtown Boone, community outreach locations, and Boone business and shopping locations.
AppalCART (Appalachian Campus Area Rapid Transit) is a free public bus network located in Boone, North Carolina. It provides fare-free fixed route and paratransit service throughout Appalachian State University and Boone, as well as low-fare van service to other towns within Watauga County.
