Beauty Bar has been in the East Village for over two decades. The front room looks like an old-school salon (with a bar), and there’s an open space in the back where they host comedy shows and other events. Once the events are over, this becomes the dance floor.

I enjoyed the vibe and the music they were playing, the late 70's and early 80's rock and punk suited the theme of the bar. It was a nice break from the typical sports bars or Irish style pubs. Dec 23, 2017 · Awesome night! Review of Beauty Bar. Reviewed September 10, 2019. My friend and I went here on a sat night in New York and had an awesome night! Very local, unpretentious yet cool place. Mixed crowd, full of friendly fun people wanting to dance to 80’s and 90’s music.
