    • The Real Thing – The Real Thing (1989) You know a great song immediately as you feel the shivers run down your spine. You raise your head up and inexplicably exhale slowly in a hope that you can extend the feeling.
    • Be Aggressive – Angel Dust (1992) Most people wouldn’t put this so high up their list, but I have never been most people. It’s here for more reason than just the provocative lyrics and punchy music, though.
    • Epic – The Real Thing (1989) You find me a person that claims not to know this song and I’ll show you a liar. There is a reason this song is so well known: it is awesome.
    • We Care A Lot – Introduce Yourself (1987) Although obviously written and recorded as the titular track to their first album, this is the definitive recording of the song for good reason.
    • ’The Real Thing’ From: ‘The Real Thing’ (1989) So we’ll wrap up our list with the truly “epic” title track of Faith No More’s album, ‘The Real Thing,’ which finds the band moving back and forth between quiet restraint and full-on attack mode in a head-spinning display of soft/heavy dynamics.
    • ‘Epic’ From: ’The Real Thing’ (1989) You were probably expecting us to save their signature tune for the No. 1 spot on or list of the Top 10 Faith No More Songs, but we simply didn’t think it was representative enough of the band’s broad songwriting capacities.
    • ’We Care a Lot’ From: ‘Introduce Yourself’ (1987) Patton’s predecessor as frontman, Chuck Mosley, had a highly unconventional, unruly, almost conversational tone that was something of an acquired taste.
    • ’King for a Day’ From: ‘King for a Day…Fool for a Lifetime’ (1995) At the opposite end of ‘Cuckoo for Caca'’s primal scream lies ‘King for a Day’s’ beautifully self-composed title track -- as revealing a study of Faith No More’s far-ranging musical contrasts as any we could think of to showcase here.

We open our Top 10 Faith No More Songs list with a track from their latest album entitled Sol Invictus. The song “Superhero,” represents that angry dramatic Faith No Moresound perfectly.

The great instrumental track “Pills For Breakfast,” was released on the band’s first album entitled We Care a Lot. The album was released in 1979. This one is pretty intense. It starts with a slow fade in and then just builds up with ferocious anger until you are hypnotized.

Faith No More’s album King For a Day, Fool For a Lifetimeis the most represented album on our top 10 Faith No More songs list. The album was released in 1995.The track “Ricochet,” was released as the second single from the album.

The song “Evidence,” was the third single released from the band’s 1995 album King For a Day, Fool For a Lifetime. The band has their groove shoes on with this cool rock and roll number. The strings wrap around Mile Patton’s vocals with an air of mystery that drips from a classic film-noir 50s film.

Continuing with our Top 10 Faith No More songs list we turn to the 1997 record entitled “Album of the Year.” The song “Last Cup Of Sorrow,” was one of three singles released from the album.

The band’s great break-out album The Real Thingis represented twice on this Top 10 Faith No More songs list. There are so many great tracks on the record, but we tried to cover as much ground of the band’s career as we could, so we had to limit our selections from the record. Nonetheless, we could not pass up on listing the phenomenal track “From O...

One last time we go back to the superb record King For a Day, Fool For a Lifetime. The track “Digging The Grave,” was released as the first single from the album.

“We Care a Lot,” was the title track from the band’s debut album We Care a Lot which was released in 1985. The musicians on the band’s first album featured Chuck Mosley on vocals, James B. Martin on guitars, Mike “Puffy” Bordin on Drums. Rodney Christoper Bottum on Keyboards and William Gould on bass.

The album Angel Dust was the follow-up to the band’s widely successful album The Real Thing. We would have liked to have included more tracks from the album but we simply just ran out of space. We think “Land of Sunshine,” is a great representative song of another smoking Faith No More album. The Angel Dustalbum was released in 1992.

Epic was the song that turned so many people on to the band Faith No More. The great track was released on the album The Real Thing in 1989. The single “Epic,” reached the Billboard Top 10 peaking at number 9. A very impressive feat for such a heavy song. The album featured the great Mike Patton on vocals, James Martin on guitars, Bill Goukld on ba...

  5. Top 10 Faith No More Songs. Very tough to make this list though. This is truly an impossible task. Too many great songs to narrow down, and it is difficult to avoid the temptation to spread the selections across the different albums. As I sit here today, the following makes the most sense.
