In 2019, an estimated 268,600 new cases of invasive breast cancer will be diagnosed among women (Table 1) and approximately 2,670 cases will be diagnosed in men. In addition, an estimated 48,100 cases of DCIS will be diagnosed among women.

View Data Table. Rate of New Cases and Deaths per 100,000: The rate of new cases of female breast cancer was 129.4 per 100,000 women per year. The death rate was 19.3 per 100,000 women per year. These rates are age-adjusted and based on 2017–2021 cases and 2018–2022 deaths.
