   • The best place to see the planes is from the Lt. John J. McCorkle Fishing Pier on the north side of Castle Island. There are lots of benches on the pier where you can sit and watch the airport. The downside to the airport’s proximity is that Castle Island periodically has loud plane noises overhead. But this is just part of the unique location.
