Dave Gibbs (born August 22, 1965) is an American singer-songwriter, best known for his work in the Boston-based power-pop band, Gigolo Aunts. Born and raised in Potsdam , New York, Gibbs co-founded the Gigolo Aunts with brothers Steve and Phil Hurley , and drummer Paul Brower in 1986.
He appeared in three episodes of The Big Bang Theory as Dave Gibbs, a guy Amy dates after she breaks up with Sheldon. He has portrayed George Washington and Abraham Lincoln on the Comedy Central series Drunk History. Through the show's first four seasons, Merchant is the only actor to play the same historical figure (Lincoln) twice.

David Alexander Gibbs (born January 10, 1968) is an American football coach and former player. Gibbs served as a co-defensive coordinator and secondary coach at UCF. He was most recently the associate head coach and secondary coach for the Illinois until resigning due to health issues.
