Feb 20, 2016 · Death of the Virgin. Designed on the Strasbourg Cathedral, the tympanum represents the DEATH OF THE VIRGIN. Mary, being the emphasis, is surrounded by the twelve apostles around. Christ, standing in the center, receives his mother’s soul (doll-like figure on his left hand).
