     I think the one major downside you will find is that the ASGI servers are newer and therefore tested less, may have less features, fewer in number, and probably have a smaller community behind them. However, I use an ASGI server (Daphne) for everything and feel that websockets offer so much in terms of user experience that everything will eventually shift to ASGI.

     Being able to use asyncio in your code is a major benefit for web programming. Instead of running 10 queries one after the other and waiting for each one to come back, you can run 10 queries at the same time, while hitting your cache and making a HTTP request simultaneously on a single thread.

     In my experience, at least in other physics engines, sleeping when coming to rest is the default behavior. The main reason I can think of not to have bodies sleep is that once they are sleeping they will only be woken by a collision. That is, if you were to remove whatever is under the sleeping object, it would not fall, but rather remain frozen in the air until something collides with it and causes it to respond to gravity again.

     The disadvantage is that you must create a new object to change its "value". If your class is representing something that "changes" frequently, you'll create a lot of objects, putting load on the garbage collector.

     I dont think that these amount of indexes will affect your performance.

     However you may note that Indexes are good and speedy when using SELECT rather than INSERT.

     Disadvantages of Index from [here][1] says that:

     When an index is created on the column(s), MySQL also creates a separate file that is sorted, and contains only the field(s) you're interested in sorting on.

     Firstly, the indexes take up disk space. Usually the space usage isn’t significant, but because of creating index on every column in every possible combination, the index file would grow much more quickly than the data file. In the case when a table is of large table size, the index file could reach the operating system’s maximum file size.

     Secondly, the indexes slow down the speed of writing queries, such as INSERT, UPDATE and DELETE. Because MySQL has to internally maintain the “pointers” to the inserted rows in the actual data file, so there is a performance price to pay in case of above said writing queries because every time a record is changed, the indexes must be updated. However, you may be able to write your queries in such a way that do not cause the very noticeable performance degradation.

     A materialised view is best thought of as three basic components:

     • A table to store the result of the query in, and whatever supporting indexes you add to it.
     • Metadata that controls the way in which the result set is refreshed, whether the result set can be used for query rewrite or not, the state of the metadata, etc..

     So, evidently the table and indexes are indeed going to use space.

     I'm afraid that you really need to go and read the documentation for your version to understand these basic concepts, as the answer to your question is derived from basic of knowledge of what a materialised view actually is.
