    • Runyon Canyon Dog Park. This outdoor paradise is the only legal off-leash dog trail in LA and is enormous. There are 160 acres of meandering trails with amazing views of the city, stretched out to the horizon, so this is not your ordinary “dog park”, it is a massive dog-friendly zone.
    • Rosie’s Dog Beach. Rosie’s Dog Beach, located in Long Beach, opened in 2003. This area is not fenced in and is not a dedicated “dog beach.” The area has metered parking in the Bennett Avenue lot, trash cans and nearby restrooms.
    • Arts District Dog Park. This recently reopened park is in the heart of downtown LA, located as the name implies, in the Arts District. Being downtown, this space is somewhat small at only 6,000 square feet, but if you live nearby and don’t want to fight typical LA traffic, this is the spot!
    • The Boneyard. The Boneyard is open each day from sunrise until 10:00 pm. This off-leash dog park is located within a large park and features a small and large dog park area, benches, trees, and water fountains in just over a little more than an acre.
