Eric Cleon Larson (September 3, 1905 – October 25, 1988) was an American animator for the Walt Disney Studios starting in 1933, and was one of "Disney's Nine Old Men".
As the years went on, Larson would go on to animate for many of Disney’s (and animation’s) greatest features, such as Fantasia (1940), Bambi (1942), Cinderella (1950), Peter Pan (1953), Lady and the Tramp (1955), Sleeping Beauty (1959), and The Jungle Book (1967).

Mar 12, 2020 · When the time came for Disney’s Animation Department to begin recruiting and mentoring young animators, one of Walt Disney’s “Nine Old Men” and Disney Legend Eric Larson was the obvious choice to lead the program.
Eric retired in September 1986; sadly his wife, Gertrude, had died of cancer in 1975. He retired to his home in La Canada Flintridge, near Glendale in Los Angeles, and died October 25, 1988. In 1989 he was posthumously awarded the Disney Recognition of Honor by Roy Disney, Walt's nephew.
