He began his career as a child in the film sequel The Sandlot 2 and is known for his roles in the television series The Society and Switched at Birth. He is the founder of The Sign Language Agency.
Sean was born deaf, and his parents and younger brother are also deaf. He attended a school for the deaf in Indiana. During his sophomore year, he took part in a nationwide competition, and won the title of Mr. Deaf Teen America.
