Use your imagination to come up with a few unique date night ideas your partner won't see coming. Some of our favorite dates are unexpected, creative and adventurous. Give these out-of-the-box date ideas a try for a new twist on the same old date.
- Go out to dinner. Starting off simple, going out to dinner is a date night staple for a reason. You can converse over good food, wear your best outfit, and gaze at each other over candlelight.
- See a movie. Another classic, hitting the movies is the perfect opportunity to snuggle up in front of the big screen and indulge in some movie theatre popcorn.
- Go to the drive-in. Switch up your usual movie date by finding your closest drive-in and enjoying an outdoor movie. You'll have a bit more privacy than you would in a theatre, plus drive-ins often show throwback movies if you want to enjoy an old classic together.
- Play mini golf. It's cute, it's fun, and it's classic: Putt-putt courses are everywhere, and many also feature arcade games and snacks, so you can make a whole evening out of letting your inner-child out for some fun.

- Restaurant hop. If you've got your favorite spot's menu just about memorized, check out a few new places instead. Visit a food hall if you've got one nearby or head to an area with a few different restaurants and try one place for appetizers, another for dinner and a third for dessert.
- Play tourist in your hometown. When was the last time you took advantage of the things everyone asks to see when they visit? Probably the last time you had out-of-town guests, that's when.
- Make a fun new recipe. Even if you're not much of a cook, trying out a new dish can result in lots of laughs. And when you're done, you get to eat the results.
- Go on a picnic. If it's nice outside, there's nothing more romantic than packing up some al fresco food and favorite beverages, spreading it on a blanket and enjoying the great outdoors.
