In 2022-2023, Idlewild embarked on a historic community planning initiative to identify key historic assets for additional historical markers, and to understand areas that could support preservation, adaptive reuse, and new developments while honoring the character and heritage of Idlewild.
The forests of western Michigan erupt into jewel-toned leafy palates in the fall, providing a perfect counterpoint to the beauty of the lakes. Snow bunnies also love to explore the area’s natural beauty and wildlife during the winter on Lake County’s cross-country ski and snowmobile trails.
