In the biblical narrative, the burning bush is the location at which Moses was appointed by Yahweh to lead the Israelites out of Egypt and into Canaan .
There, on Mount Horeb, God appeared to Moses as a burning bush, revealed to Moses his name YHWH (probably pronounced Yahweh) and commanded him to return to Egypt and bring his chosen people (Israel) out of bondage and into the Promised Land .

When Moses beholds the burning bush, God (or Yahweh) speaks to Moses and tells him to lead the Israelites out of Egypt and into Canaan. But what was the burning bush? Is there a scientific basis for this miraculous occurrence, or should we just accept it as divine theatre?
