After being selected to hold the title of Mrs. California America 2024, I was honored to sing our National Anthem at Beale Air Force Base to kick off “Celebrating Cars and Stripes” Auto Show. It was spectacular with thousands in attendance to see over 500 cars in addition to the amazing aircraft!

Jul 21, 2022 · An Elk Grove School District teacher will represent California at the 2022 Mrs. America pageant in Las Vegas next month. Karen Johnson teaches second grade at Robert J. Fite Elementary School.
Johnson earned a spot in the national competition by winning the 2022 Mrs. California American pageant, which was held in Bakersfield in early June. The recently retired second grade teacher is honored to represent educators in Las Vegas.
