On 1/17/22 at 6:00 pm, after working an 8 hour shift and returning home, Master Officer Brandon Lyon and Officer Damon Smith responded to a call of five children who were missing after a paddle boarding trip on Belews Lake. Joining those officers were Sgt. D.J. Woods and Master Officer Trevor Lemon. The officers launched three boats for the search.
