Enrichment analysis tool. Users can perform enrichment analyses directly from the home page of the GOC website. This service connects to the analysis tool from the PANTHER Classification System, which is maintained up to date with GO annotations.

This knowledge is both human-readable and machine-readable, and is a foundation for computational analysis of large-scale molecular biology and genetics experiments in biomedical research.
PANTHER, which supports the backend of the GO enrichment, provides the list of the species found on the right side of GO website. Besides those 130+ genomes , PANTHER supports another 1100+ genomes from the Reference Proteome project for users to generate GO annotations.

Dec 8, 2020 · The new PANTHER GO-slim was updated from the latest phylogenetic annotations provided by the GO Phylogenetic Annotation project . It contains 3336 terms, with 2234 biological process, 557 molecular function and 542 cellular component terms.
Nov 25, 2021 · As a result, GO enrichment analysis in PANTHER is complete for protein‐coding genes. In addition to the 142 organisms in PANTHER trees, we provide precalculated PANTHER family/subfamily and GO annotations for over 1,000 other whole reference proteomes from UniProt.
