Experience this 13.5-km circular trail near Cougar, Washington. Generally considered a moderately challenging route. This trail is great for hiking and mountain biking, and it's unlikely you'll encounter many other people while exploring. The best times to visit this trail are June through November.

Dec 22, 2021 · The Plains of Abraham is a high alpine bench on the east side of Mount Saint Helens. The area is not within the blast zone itself although it was greatly affected by pyroclastic flows from the 1980 eruption.
The trail ends at the Loowit Trail but by wandering north on the Loowit, you can increase your mileage all the way to the Plains of Abraham trail, with huge views of Mount St. Helens eastern flanks, where colorful summer wildflowers dot the barren landscape.
