Renzo Gracie founded the academy in 1996. [1] It was originally above a methadone clinic before it moved to its current location at 224 West 30th Street. [1][2] It was one of the camps participating in the International Fight League. Coached by Gracie, it took the place of the New York Pitbulls who were the 2007 IFL champions. [3]
We are the oldest and longest running Brazilian jiu-jitsu and mma gym in the area. We teach a variety of intro and advanced classes in bjj, mma, muay thai and wrestling. Each of our courses is taught by one of our expert instructors.
