Robin Evan Roberts (September 30, 1926 – May 6, 2010) was an American Major League Baseball starting pitcher who pitched primarily for the Philadelphia Phillies (1948–1961). He spent the latter part of his career with the Baltimore Orioles (1962–1965), Houston Astros (1965–66), and Chicago Cubs (1966).

May 6, 2010 · The Phillies say Robin Roberts, the most productive pitcher in the National League in the first half of the 1950s, died of natural causes in 2010. He led the team to the 1950 pennant and was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1976.
Robin Roberts was a Hall of Fame pitcher who played for the Philadelphia Phillies and the Baltimore Orioles from 1948 to 1966. He won six NL ERA titles, led the NL in strikeouts four times, and was named an All-Star nine times.
