Sam Greeley Field is the home field for the Rockford University football and soccer programs. The stadium seats over 1,000 spectators and is one of the best game day environments in the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference.
Wedgbury Stadium. Mercyhealth Sportscore Two is also home to Wedgbury Stadium, which seats 2,500 spectators, and has hosted IHSA State High School Soccer Finals, pro football games, National Rugby Finals, college rugby championships, professional soccer games with international teams, and USSL W. League Soccer Finals.
Wedgbury Stadium will be the home for Rockford FC beginning in our 2024 season. The field is located at 8800 E Riverside Blvd in Loves Park, IL and has a capacity of 2,500. The stadium was built in 1969 and, in 2012, Rockford Park District invested $1.3 million in renovations including new synthetic turf field and stadium seating.
May 14, 2021 · For the first time in the university’s history, commencement exercises will be held at Rockford University’s Sam Greeley Field (football stadium) to allow for social distancing and health and safety protocols amidst the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Rivets took over the stadium in the fall of 2015 after the demise of the Rockford Aviators. Rivets Stadium has also been home to the Rockford University Regents baseball team since 2007. The stadium has 3,279 seats, but can host crowds of over 4,000.
