Rescued by the Monroe family from New Orleans, Rosecliff Mansion has a very colorful history. Commissioned by silver heiress Theresa Fair Oelrichs, the mansion was designed by architect Stanford White.

Nov 2, 2022 · Rosecliff in Newport Rhode Island was built in 1903. After the original owner passed away, it was vacant for several decades. It was purchased and refurbished in the 1940s, but the new owner was killed in an accident while traveling to his new home. The next owner used it as a summer home.
