Sam Kieth. Sam Kieth is a native Californian who broke into the comic book business by getting attention for co-creating and illustrating THE SANDMAN for DC Comics. Kieth went on to work for Marvel Comics, where he illustrated Wolverine covers and stories for Marvel Comics Presents. In 1993 Kieth created The Maxx, for Image Comics.

Between Madonna’s bullet bra, the video for the Aphex Twin’s “Come to Daddy”, and Pogs, we all had a good decade or so to adjust to the various moods of the phantasmagoric zeitgeist.
My art can be about isolation, both intense and indescribable. Behind my images and paintings are emotion, imagination, and allegory, all elements that affect everyone. As I pursue art and chase my dreams, I paint as I feel, sometimes eclectic in thought, but always in touch with myself...sometimes simple, sometimes complex.
