Stephen was a great man of faith who came from nowhere, but because of his testimony, he was chosen by the church members to take on the role of a deacon. He used his role to minister both personally in ways that not only help the apostles, but was directly responsible for the growth in the church.

Sep 7, 2022 · Stephen is a model for us in how to live and how to die — in full trust of Christ. His story is a great reminder that Jesus is with those who follow Him, and especially present when His followers give their life for His name.
Stephen made the point that God had never bound Himself to one sanctuary or to one person, such as Moses. God’s self-manifestation began long before Moses or the Temple. And Moses himself testified that it would not conclude with him.
