Sulphur Springs is a unique community 90 minutes from downtown Dallas. The community offers a variety of specialty shops and dining opportunities. Downtown weekends include movies on the square, concerts, and a Saturday evening Market.

Lake Sulphur Springs sits on White Oak Creek and mainly serves as a backup source to the city's water supply. Anglers fish here for blue and channel catfish, crappie, and small populations of largemouth bass. Two boat ramp facilities are open year round.
Sulphur Springs has completed a revitalization effort downtown where over 300 events and public activities are hosted in Celebration Plaza each year. A lighted, interactive fountain in the shape of the Texas star, illuminated with ultra violet light is a favorite with the kids.
