Sometimes when you start a spinoff with a backdoor pilot, that and the actual pilot are almost the exact same thing, which bores anyone who watches both. The good news with The Flashis that this pilot is not a direct copy of “The Scientist,” and gives Barry Allen’s story a fresh feeling while still being similar to what we’ve seen before.
