Feb 23, 2021 · Tourette syndrome is a neurological condition. It causes someone to make involuntary movements or sounds called tics. The disorder starts in childhood and usually decreases in early adulthood. Medication and behavioral therapy are the most common treatments for Tourette syndrome.
This review will present current pharmacologic treatments for Tourette syndrome–associated tics and the chief non-pharmacologic options to assist practitioners in optimizing care for these pediatric patients.
