The new Walt Disney Animation Studios wordmark logo was first seen Disney's 2020 Investor Day Presentation on December 10, 2020. However, the previous logo is still primarily used as an on-screen logo today. Currently it is only used for "Walt Disney Animation Studios Collection" on Disney+.

Walt Disney Animation Studios (WDAS), sometimes shortened to Disney Animation, is an American animation studio that creates animated features and short films for The Walt Disney Company. The studio's current production logo features a scene from its first synchronized sound cartoon, Steamboat Willie (1928).

On the iPad app Disney Animated, the logo is in a 4:3 aspect ratio and is shown before the first section "Art in Motion". In this variant, the logo zooms in to focus on an abridged version of the Steamboat Willie footage.
In 2012, Disney redesigned the logo's background to adapt to movies made in 2:35:1.
The logo was created by Walt Disney Productions in traditional animation and featured a white silhouette of Disneyland's Sleeping Beauty Castle against a blue background, with the studio's name in Walt Disney text and underscored by "When You Wish Upon a Star", in arrangement composed by John Debney.
