    The Washington Township Fire Department is an internationally accredited agency providing fire and emergency medical services to Centerville/Washington Township through a cost-effective combination of full-time, part-time and part-paid staff. Fire and EMS crews respond from five fire stations strategically located throughout the service area.

    The Division of Fire Safety ensures that buildings, businesses and new construction in the community are built and maintained according to the most up-to-date safety codes. The division provides inspection services and a variety of programs that promote safety education and fire prevention.

    The Fire Department also offers a variety of programs focused on improving community safety, such as placing automated external defibrillators in public locations and training people in their use.
