Synopsis. A science fiction thriller based on the 1954 novel "I am Legend" by Richard Matheson. Set in 1977, two years after biological warfare wiped out the entire world population, except for Robert Neville (Charlton Heston) and a few that have been mutated into light-sensitive flesh-eating psychopathic zombies who are partially blind.
Charlton Heston is the last man alive in a world of ghouls, a side effect of biological warfare. He tries to save the human race with a vaccine and a band of survivors in this sci-fi thriller based on a novel by Richard Matheson.
