Will Geer (1902-1978) was an American actor, musician, and social activist who starred in The Waltons and other films and plays. He was blacklisted in the 1950s for his leftist views and was a friend and collaborator of Woody Guthrie.
Will Geer was a versatile and long-lived performer who starred in Broadway, movies, and TV, including The Waltons. He was also a political radical, a folklorist, and a founder of the Theatricum Botanicum in California.
