The word, “men spoke from God, being borne by the Holy Spirit” (v. 21), has a twofold meaning: first, men were borne by the Spirit; second, men spoke from God. In 1582 an edition of the New Testament, translated from the Latin Vulgate, appeared at Rheims, and in 1609-1610 the Old Testament was published at Douay.
