I had an amazing meeting with Paul Bostaph, and he told me everything there is to know about the epic drum intro of KILLING FIELDS, the opening track of the album “Divine Intervention” of Slayer. I’m talking about a tutorial and how he came up with the intro! All I can say is that Paul is a gentleman, and a beast of a drummer.

  7. 1-Killing Fields Paul Bostaph probably wants to be accepted by the fans so he starts the album with awesome crazy fills and fast double bass. The riff is pretty thrashy. You can hear the slayer trademarks. The song get a bit slower in the verse with some time signature. Paul Bostaph does an amazing work on that song. Then the song get faster.
