Every Seat on the Bench. Harlan Fiske Stone is the only Justice to have occupied every seat on the Supreme Court Bench. Nominated by President Calvin Coolidge to be an Associate Justice, Stone was quickly confirmed and took his seat at the right end of the Bench in 1925.
