The journalist Pierre Lantin (Dario Michaelis) begins to investigate, and becomes more involved when his fiancee, the dancer Nora Duval is kidnapped. As Inspector Chantal (Carlo D’Angelo) examines the crime scene, Lantin arrives predicting that the crime was committed by The Vampire.

Lust of the Vampire, also known as I Vampiri or The Devil's Commandment, is the first Italian horror movie with sound and only the second horror movie ever produced in Italy at that time. The horror movement in Italy only really took off after the release of Black Sunday !
This movie has other virtues, though, that can’t be accounted for by the novelty of many unrelated things being copied at once.
