Actress Alice Playten has died in hospital. She was 63. The beloved Broadway star passed away on Saturday after suffering heart failure at Sloan Kettering Hospital. Playten made her Broadway debut in the original production of Gypsy and went on to star in Hello, Dolly! and Seussical, among other productions.
