Nazareth formed in December 1968 in Dunfermline, Scotland. The remaining members of the Shadettes, a semi-professional local group formed in 1961, including vocalist Dan McCafferty, guitarist Manny Charlton, bassist Pete Agnew, and drummer Darrell Sweet started Nazareth.
