Thomas Mack Lauderdale (born July 14, 1970) is an American musician and pianist, largely known for his work with his Portland -based band Pink Martini . Early life. Thomas Mack Lauderdale was born in 1970 in Oakland, California, and adopted by Kerby Roy and Linda Sue, née Mikesell.
Piano. Members. Thomas Lauderdale was raised on a plant nursery in rural Indiana. He began piano lessons at age six with Patricia Garrison. When his family moved to Portland in 1982, he began studying with Sylvia Killman, who to this day continues to serve as his coach and mentor.
