Maria Voichița. Doamna Maria Voichița (1457 – 26 February 1511) was a Princess consort of Moldavia (1480–1511). Life. Born into the powerful House of Drăculești, Maria was daughter of Radu III the Handsome and his wife, Maria Despina. She was niece of Vlad the Impaler. She married Prince Stephen III of Moldavia in 1478.
Maria Voichița a murit după cum spune Cronica lui Grigore Ureche „Vă leato 7019 fevruarie, miercuri în săptămâna albă”, adică la 26 februarie 1511. Data morții sale nu a fost menționată însă în inscripția acoperământului de mormânt, de la Mănăstirea Putna , lucrat din porunca fiului ei, Bogdan al III-lea Vlad, în 1513.

Maria Voichita was the daughter of Radu the Handsome, four times ruler of Wallachia (1462-1473, 1473-1474, 1474, 1474-1475), and of his wife, Lady Maria Despina. She married Stephen the Great probably in 1478, after the prince had been widowed for the second time, following the death of Maria Comnena (Maria de Mangop), in 1477.
