Evermore is very beautiful. She reaches the height of 5'4”. She has defined facial structure. Her utterly-flawless skin is very pale, though slightly tanned, and looks airbrushed. She has a scar on the left part of her face maybe above her eyebrow from the accident, but it disappeared in Evermore. All the books speak of her having a perfect, slightly toned, but strong, physique as a side-effect of the elixir, which creates an effortlessly goddess-like look to anyone who drinks it.

Ever has long, pale gold blonde hair which stops shy of her waist. She pulls it back into a low ponytail and hides it under a hood most of the time before Blue Moon, as it was one of her many vanities before the accident. Her eyes are bright blue, and are known to look slightly darker with her emotions. She doesn't wear makeup until later books when she gets rid of her hoodie and iPod, too.

The second book speaks of her growing exponentially, and by the end of the day having to get longer jeans than the ones she put on at the beginning of the day which fit perfectly, if not too long. Eventually, when she learns to drown out everybody's mental narrative and focuses to stop seeing auras, she dresses a little more femininely and more similarly to how she did before the accident.

Because of her immortality, she doesn't age and is forever young and beautiful - but in Dark Flame, she turns 17.

~ Ever commenting on her previous life.

Ever was very vain in her previous life, and eager to sleep with her boyfriend, Brandon. She cared only about being a cheerleader and was very content with her place in her high school caste system. While she didn't outright bully the less popular students, she never gave them much notice. After the accident, she became a depressed and guilt-ridden teenager - a shadow of her former self. She was consumed by guilt for her family's deaths, and wondered why she was the only one to have survived. The burden of her abilities added even more turmoil for Ever. She tried desperately to blend into her new surroundings, constantly wearing baggy clothes, sunglasses, and her iPod turned up to numb her powers.

~ Ever on her utter dislike of California's weather as opposed to Oregon's.

She is willing to give up anything for her old life, including Damen. When he entered her life and told her everything about what they were, Ever became less depressed - his mere presence helped to tune out the voices and energies of other people; He made her feel normal and much less lonely. After killed she Drina, her guilt was lessened as she accepted that Drina was responsible for the accident - this let her open her heart to him fully. At the end of Evermore, Ever finally commits herself to Damen and becomes an Immortal to be with him for eternity.

Unlike Damen, she can reincarnate, however she cannot recall all of her past lives like him. This is something that frustrates her, as Ever would like to know more about their history together.

~ Ever explaining how Roman was able to trick her.

Ever and Damen meet late into her Junior year of high school. She is immediately attracted to him and feels a strong sense of recognition whenever he is near her, especially in his eyes. Ever quickly discovers that he has no aura and that she can't read his thoughts, much to her confusion. Ever also realizes that when he touches or speaks to her, he instantly quiets all of the psychic energy that she tries so hard to block out, her feelings for him grow.

During Halloween Ever and her aunt throw a party, where she dresses up as Marie Antoinette. Through she doesn't invite him, Damen turns up as her costume's lover - Axel von Fersen - and they kiss. Haven, who also has a crush on him, sees this. Ever is unsure of how to pursue her relationship with him. He soon begins to woo Ever; and begins to take her out on various dates.

On their first date, the two skip school and he takes her to Disneyland. For their second date, the two skip school again and to go to lunch at a race track, where they use their psychic powers to bet on the winning horses. After she wins an eight hundred dollar bet, Damen buys her a crystal horse-shoe bit bracelet to commemorate their date. She is delighted by the gift, but makes sure that the crystals in the bracelet are not diamonds, as she doesn't want him to spend so much money on her.

When the second date is over, Ever realizes that her feelings for Damen are deepening, but she is still reluctant to fully open up to him and feels guilty as Haven, her best friend, is also attracted to him. On their third date, he takes Ever out to the beach. It is here that he shows her a cave where he keeps many of his things, such as a surf board, wet suits, and towels. Ever starts to feel incredibly comfortable with him, to the point where she almost sleeps with him; she stops herself, not wanting to loose her virginity in such a rushed way.

Damen soothes her saying he can wait, and tells her just to sleep. By the end of the night she does admit to herself however that she has truly fallen in love with him and happily falls asleep in his arms. When she wakes up the next morning she is alone and reads a note; Damen left her saying that he went surfing. Ever searches the beach, but doesn't find him. Deeply upset, she goes home. She is not at her house long before Damen arrives at her front door soaking wet, claiming to have been surfing like his note said. Ever is suspicious and confronts him about leaving her alone in the cave and he apologizes for leaving her. Ever, though, believes he abandoned her because she wouldn't sleep with him. She is still unsure about how true Damen's feelings are for her; however, Ever forgives him but remains extremely suspicious.

A few days later, Ever goes to his house, more suspicious than ever. She goes to his special room and sees Haven, near death, with Damen supposedly drinking her blood.Ever, furious and desperate to save her friend, rushes to Haven; Damen holds her back. Before she can get to Haven, as she won't stop fighting him, Damen knocks her unconscious. She wakes up the next day with little memory of the weekend; Damen convinces her he gave her a surfing lesson. However, Ever soon remembers Damen drinking Haven's blood and confronts him. It is then that Damen reveals the truth to her: he is a Immortal and that he wasn't killing Haven, but saving her. He goes on the explain that the tattoo that she had gotten had become extremely infected and he was sucking out the blood from the area. Ever is in complete shock from this revelation and starts to flee. Damen makes everyone in the school pass out so he can talk to Ever but more frightened than ever, she continues to run.

It has been three weeks since Drina's death, Ever is now a newly turned Immortal and is very excited to learn everything she can about her growing powers, with Damen giving her unfailing support.

She and Damen are extremely happy and content together.

They are deeply relieved that Drina is out of their lives.

However Ever is suffering extreme anxiety about wether or not she can sleep with Damen giving his many conquests throughout the ages and lack of her own intimate experiences.

Damen is understanding about this but says that she must accept the fact that he cannot change his past.

She is still unsure however Damen reiterates that he is willing to wait for her to make up her mind.

Ever is extremely grateful that Damen is free of Roman's control and that they are once again together. She finally confesses everything to him that happened while he was under Roman's influence. Damen thinks that this is all about his bad karma and that there is no hope for him. This makes Ever furious, however he is adamant that there is nothing they can do. She refuses to accept defeat and makes Damen promise her that they will find a cure. However, the couple quickly realize they have nothing to go on and are both devastated that they will never be able to truly touch each other again."~Ever pleading with Damen not to give up on finding a cure.

~Damen expressing disdain for the curse.

To remedy their loss of physical contact, Damen - with practice and inspiration from Summerland - creates a veil of pulsating energy. The veil that Damen creates is only visible to him and Ever, it allows the couple to "almost touch" and thus elevates some of anguish they have to endure.

In order to protect her from Roman, Damen gives Ever an amulet made of crystals. He explains that each amulet is different showing her his, he goes on to say that she must always wear it.

To somewhat escape the many complications of their life, Damen and Ever skip school one day and go to an art gallery. While at the gallery Damen shows her a painting of her that was done during her past life in Amsterdam. He then shows her the name of the artist that painted it: Bastiaan de Kool. Damen goes on to explain that Bastiaan de Kool was a reincarnation of Jude Knight. Damen says to Ever that the two of them shared a love affair before they met; she is shocked by this news.

Ever is happy that she and Damen are together, however both are becoming increasingly frustrated over their inablity to break the curse that Roman has put on Damen.

In desperation she turns to dark magick in her attempt to break the curse. Ever does a spell which she hopes will make Roman reveal to her everything about the anitdote.

However the spell backfires and instead it binds her to Roman, she soon becomes obsessed with wanting to be near him.

Her obsession with her enemy causes extreme friction in her relationship with Damen.

One night Ever is so overcome with her desire for Roman she goes to his house disguised as Drina and nearly sleeps with him.

Knowing she has hit rock bottom Ever tries to seek help.

    Family

Ever's relationship with Sabine is loving, but strained. She is extremely grateful to her aunt for taking her in when she didn't have to. Though, she feels that that she is a burden to her, most of the time. Ever finds it extremely hard to be open fully with her guardian, this compounded by the fact she cannot tell Sabine the truth about her Immortality and psychic abilities. Through their relationship is strained Ever retains a great love for her aunt. She is happy, though somewhat distressed, when Sabine finds love in her History teacher, Mr. Munoz. The two also seem to have a laid back way of addressing each other, Ever calling her Aunt Sabine.

    Damen Auguste

Ever is deeply in love with Damen, as in all of her past lives. He is deeply in love with her and constantly gives her tulips, which signify undying love. He flirts with Stacia in Evermore, to see if she really cares. However, he gave her white rose buds, which mean ignorance, and he used them as a sign to show her he is only testing her. After finding out that he was an Immortal and made her one, Ever - out of fear and uncertainty - breaks up with Damen after breaking into his house and seeing him apparently "drinking Haven's blood." However, after defeating his ex-wife Drina, she finally allowed herself to reciprocate Damen's love for her, much to his relief. She seals her Immortal fate by telling him, "I love you." Ever enjoys to communicate telepathically with Damen, especially when they are in school and often ditch together. Though she sees him every day, Ever is always entranced by Damen's perfect Immortal looks and grace. He is constantly attentive to her physical and emotional needs hardly ever being apart from Ever expect when necessary. Damen wants to properly consummate their relationship, as he has been waiting for four hundred years, but respects that Ever is unsure and constantly tells her that he is willing to wait for her to make up her mind.

    Jude Knight

Ever first meets Jude Knight in the third book, Shadowland. Sabine, growing worried that her niece is spending too much time with Damen, convinces her on getting a summer job. Opposed to the idea, Ever relents to placate her aunt. Ever then travels to Mystics & Moonbeams, a book store near the boardwalk. It sells books, incense, various herbs, and crystals. It is here that she meets Jude Knight; he is the nineteen-year-old co-owner of the store, his grandmother Lina being the real owner. Ever asks Jude for a job. He somehow instantly recognizes that Ever has special abilities and auditions her for a part as a fortuneteller. Ever is apprehensive, seeing as she has never really done a proper reading on someone before. Jude, however, insists. Reluctantly, Ever takes hold of Jude's hand and starts to see into his past. When she lets go, Ever tells him what she saw. His father committed suicide when he was ten, which was a year after his mother passed away. For many years, Jude felt immense guilt, thinking that he could of stopped his father form ending his life. Ever also realizes that Jude has a gift similar to hers; he can see spirits of those who are going to cross over. She tells him that his father tried to visit him over the years, so he could explain that he only ended his life because he wanted to be with his mother. As he got older, Jude suppressed his ability, and thus never saw his father again. During her reading of him, Ever further sees that Jude is very smart, having graduated high school at just sixteen. Ever additionally sees that Lina isn't his biological grandmother - his real grandparents passed away before he was born. Lina took him in when he had no place left to go and in the words of Jude “She saved my life.” She feels a bond with the tall blond surfer and immediately accepts a job. She, however, asks Jude that she go by an alias when she does readings. After a few minutes of thought, she comes up with the alias of “Avalon.” Ever finds that working at Mystics & Moonbeans brings a sense of normalcy to her hectic life. She also discovers that Jude's cool and laid back attitude gives her a much needed sense of calmness that she desperately seeks. One night, Jude comes over to Ever's house while her aunt is working. She and Jude retreat to her hot tub and, caught up in the moment, almost kiss. Ever quickly stops herself when she sees that Jude has an Ouroboros tattoo. Thinking that he is a Rogue Immortal and in league with Roman, she asks him to leave. Later on in Shadowland, Ever discovers that she and Jude shared many past love affairs. However, she always chose Damen over him. Ever discovers this when Damen takes her to gallery and shows her a painting he did of her when they were both in Amsterdam. She and Jude were lovers, but he went by the name of Bastiaan de Kool. She is unsure how to deal with this revelation and this creates a love triangle between her, Jude, and Damen. Ever's complicated relationship with Jude continues her immersion in dark magic, worrying Jude immensely. He is powerless to help her, seeing as Ever doesn't confide in him about her addiction. She is able to still work at the store and continues to do readings as Avalon. Ever is still wary of Jude because of the Ouroboros tattoo she saw, through she doesn't tell him that. One day, Ever accidentally attacks Jude with a saw, still thinking he is with Roman. Horrified by her actions, Ever takes Jude to the emergency room. Luckily Jude is fine, though his arms are severely damaged - having been cut to the bone. Ever is unable to think of an excuse for his injuries to the doctor, Jude quickly covers for Ever, saying that he damaged himself in a home repair gone awry. Ever drives Jude home and apologizes profusely. Jude annoyingly accepts her apology. He goes on to say that his only connection to Roman is through Ever and that she can either trust him, or not. Ever soon comes to the conclusion that Jude isn't a Rogue Immortal and begins to trust him. Their relationship hits a snag when Jude accidentally kills Roman thinking that he was hurting Ever. Ever and Jude's relationship is brought to a head in Night Star, when Ever goes to the store and sees that Jude's aura is black, which signals death. Worried for Jude, she rushes to his side and asks if he is all right. Jude gives her the sad news that Lina is dead; she was involved in car accident in Guatemala where she had been vacationing. Ever asks if he is sure and Jude says he is. He goes on to explain that Lina appeared to him he saw that she looked so light and at peace he knew for certain that she had crossed over. Knowing all too well how it feels like to lose someone having lost her entire family Ever offers her unyielding support to Jude. Jude is grateful he asks her if she wouldn't mind looking in on the store for awhile and Ever immediately says yes. He goes on to make the necessary arrangements. Keeping her promise to Jude Ever attends Lina's memorial and stays after to help him clean up. While Jude is grateful for her help he is also frustrated. Knowing his connection to her he asks that she not spend as much time with him as she has been until she makes a choice between him and Damen. Saddened by this news Ever relents and stops visiting Jude so often. Her relationship with Jude finally reaches its peak. After many doubts and questioning Ever kisses Jude in order to discover once and for all if they are meant to be together. Before she is able to sort out how she feels about their kiss Haven attacks both her and Jude. When she is cast into the Shadowland Ever realizes that Damen is the one for her. “One thing made abundantly, blindingly, clear- while it's true Jude's always been there, always been kind and giving and loving toward me---Damen's my one and only true soul mate.”~ Ever finally sees that Jude and her were never supposed to be together. After she comes back form the Shadowland Ever firmly renews her relationship with Damen. They travel to Summerland and discover that Jude is there, healed completely form his wounds he had gotten in the battle with Haven. It is there that she and Jude silently acknowledge that they are not meant for each other. Jude is visibly disappointed by this but realizes that it is for the best. “ Ever on her final choice. Ever manifests her Night Star in Summerland. “Wishing for him to remain hopeful and willing to believe that there's someone out there who's far better suited for him that I ever could be. Wishing for him to find what I've found with Damen. And I leave him with that wish. Leave my star shining high in sky for as long as it lasts.” ~ Ever hoping that Jude finds happiness someday.

Damen often manifests red tulips to Ever. Red Tulips signify his undying love for her.

It pleases Ever greatly whenever she gets a tulip from Damen especially when she is going through a difficult time. He manifests them to her each time they separate.

Damen does this to remind her of their 'undying love' i.e. their past lives.

At first this confuses Ever until she looks up the meaning of them.

Since her (NDE ) Near Death Experience, Ever is able to see an aura around a person who is living. Colors represent each emotion and has only ever experienced someone's aura to be white (pure) which was her aunt, Sabine. The colors vary depending on the mood and there are several types, which Ever knows from experience. With a touch of flesh or physical contact Ever can read minds, see their lives and even see what has happened during their lives. Her Immortal status also gave her enhanced speed. Because she is an Immortal Ever will never fall ill again.

In order to retain her Immortality Ever must continually drink the Elixir that Damen makes to sustain her as well as himself.

Through her Immortality Ever developed strong telekinetic powers including the ability to manifest objects. With help from Damen and practice she was able to master these gifts. While she has a handle on most of her powers, Ever is continuously in training Damen being her own personal coach he is always helping her to retain and understand her powers. As well as her enhanced psychic abilites being turned into an Immortal made Ever even more beautiful.

Her already long blond hair grew longer reaching past her waist. She also grew a few inches in a matter of hours. Like Damen Ever when turned into an Immortal gained a psychic radar which makes driving extremely fast and easy for her. But unlike Damen who almost always uses it, Ever finds using the radar is unnecessary and doesn't think it is a power that they should abuse.
