Cadillac, meanwhile, sold more than 36,000 cars in 1927 and 40,000 in 1928, but dropped to just 18,000 in 1929. By 1930, LaSalle was feeling the economic squeeze, too, having fallen to 15,000 sales, but Cadillac’s V-8 line reached only 11,000 sales.
