  2. Sep 30, 2011 · The previews and commercials for Dream House led one to believe it was a horror film, it is not, not at all. I think that is where a lot of the disappointment is coming from. It is a pretty good thriller, once you get used to the fact that that is what you are watching.

  4. Dream House (2011) is a mystery/thriller movie that offers up some cool unexpected twists and turns. The cast includes Daniel Craig, Rachel Weisz, and Naomi Watts. The performances from Watts and Craig are quite good, but in my opinion Weisz just wasn't all that good in this movie.

    What we think is going on

    The film’s first part has us believe that a man named Will Atenton has recently bought and moved into a new house with his wife Libby and his two children. Soon we find out that 5 years ago, a man named Peter Ward murdered his family in this house. Now, Will and his family seem to be stalked by a mysterious person they assume is Peter. As a result, Will heads to the mental asylum where Peter is being treated at.
