  2. classicsftw. •. Personally, I don't like the comparison of The Shining to Black Swan, only because Kubrick's film had elements of sci-fi; ghosts and the paranormal. Where as you mentioned correctly, a lot of this film contains more emotional elements. I guess my opinion on the film is a mixture of both of yours.
