The Virgin of the Rocks (Italian: Vergine delle rocce), sometimes the Madonna of the Rocks, is the name of two paintings by the Italian Renaissance artist Leonardo da Vinci, of the same subject, with a composition which is identical except for several significant details.

The Virgin of the Rocks is the first independent and completed painting by Leonardo da Vinci. It is dated 1483-1486 and depicts Mary, the mother of Jesus and an angel, and Jesus and John the Baptist as boys. The original painting is now in the Louvre in Paris. The commissioning monks were dissatisfied with the depiction.
