St. Cecilia Academy is a private all-girls Catholic high school owned and operated by the Dominican Sisters of the St. Cecilia Congregation in the Diocese of Nashville, Tennessee. The only catholic high school in Tennessee, St. Cecilia's has had faith in young women since 1860.

History of the School. On October 1, 1911, Archbishop Prendergast officially established Saint Cecilia Parish and Reverend William C. Sheridan was appointed founding pastor. On August 17, 1924, the cornerstone was laid for the first school at 530 Stanwood Street.
