Mar 31, 2019 · Hostile Planet is utterly devoted to documenting the unsympathetic nature of nature itself. Thankfully, though, the series itself — and especially Grylls — aren’t nearly as removed. Though it is unflinching in its display of life’s daily struggle, Hostile Planet ’s goal is as much to move the audience as it is to inform them.
