Map of Abruzzi italy The Abruzzo region is bordered by the Marche region to the north, Lazio to the west and southwest, Molise to the southeast, and the Adriatic sea to the east. The region spans an area of 10,795 square kilometers, within a third of these lands there are three national parks, nature reserves and protected areas.
The standard route of ascent, used by 75% of all climbers, is the Abruzzi Spur, located on the Pakistani side, first attempted by Prince Luigi Amedeo, Duke of the Abruzzi in 1909. This is the peak's southeast ridge, rising above the Godwin-Austen Glacier .

Formed from the ancient nucleus of Montepagano, the hamlet located on a hill north of the mouth of the Vomano river, the \'lower part\' is developed in a flat area overlooking the Adriatic Sea through a splendid beach complete with all services. The slowly degrading seabed has granted Roseto degli Abruzzi the Blue Flag since 1999.

It is located in northern Abruzzo in the Teramo province, and is one of the area's most popular beach resorts. The town had originally been called Rosburgo, but was changed to Roseto in 1927. The roses that flourish in the sun here inspired the change. The town spreads along the palm-fringed waterfront with fine sandy beaches and plenty of space.
