- Brienne of Tarth. Brienne of Tarth is one of the most loved characters in the series. Living in a brutal, sexist society, Brienne managed to overcome these barriers, first by becoming one of the most skilled warriors in Westeros and then by becoming the first woman to be knighted in the Seven Kingdoms.
- Arya Stark. One of the most controversial moments in Game of Thrones history was when Arya jumped at the Night King, momentarily being caught before using a trick to drop her knife, catch it with the other hand and stab the Night King, ending the Long Night and the White Walker invasion in the process.
- Sansa Stark. Sansa Stark had one of the most interesting characters in the series. The eldest daughter of Ned Stark started out life in the series as a naive girl who was forced to spend several years in Kings Landing with the sadistic Joffrey Baratheon.

- Brienne of Tarth. From the moment Brienne of Tarth beat Loras Tyrell in combat, earning herself a spot as one of Renly Baratheon's greatest Kingsguard members, it was obvious that her role in the show would be very different from the other women who had been introduced.
- Olenna Tyrell. Olenna Tyrell's acerbic wit and almost complete disregard for many of the rules and customs that she was expected to abide by made her a close contender for one of the best characters on Game of Thrones.
