Robert Walker (actor, born 1918) Robert Hudson Walker (October 13, 1918 – August 28, 1951) was an American actor [1] who starred as the villain in Alfred Hitchcock 's thriller Strangers on a Train (1951), which was released shortly before his early demise. He started in youthful boy-next-door roles, often as a World War II soldier.

Walker was born Robert Hudson Walker in 1918 in Salt Lake City, Utah, the youngest of four sons of Zella (McQuarrie) and Horace Hudson Walker, a news editor for the local paper. He was of English and Scottish descent. His maternal aunt, Hortense (McQuarrie) Odlum, was the first female president of Bonwit Teller.
