Wartislaw IV or Vartislav IV (before 1290 – 1 August 1326) was Duke of Pomerania-Wolgast from 1309 until his death. He was the only son of Duke Bogislaw IV of Pomerania and his wife Margareta, a daughter of Vitslav II, Prince of Rügen .

May 2, 2019 · Wartislaw IV, duke of Pomerania-Wolgast, was the only son of Bogislaw IV, duke of Pomerania, and his second wife Margaret (Małgorzata) von Rügen [1] and ws born between 11 and 27 May 1291. [2] He succeeded his father as Duke of Pomerania in Wolgast and Hinterpommern in1309 [3] which received Imperial confirmation on 4 July 1311. [2] .
During this conflict, in 1315, Wartislaw IV of Pomerania-Wolgast, grandson of Rugian Wizlaw II, made an agreement with Eric VI Menved's brother Christopher II of Denmark for inheritance of the Principality of Rügen. Waldemar of Brandenburg died in 1319. Heinrich, his heir, was still a minor, and died in 1320.
